Practical, people-first operator who has owned rollouts from handoff to finish: 50+ client projects at a Philadelphia creative agency, including leading on-site install crews, followed by 10 years teaching in international schools, where I trained adults and kids, kept 20–25 families a year on side, and ran real-world projects from planting microgreens to full-scale events. Comfortable being the one reliable point of contact, working independently, and adapting when conditions change. Ready to spend real time in the field.
Dear Halter team,
I'm applying for the Customer Onboarding Specialist role in Boulder, and I'll tell you plainly why: I want to do real work with real people, outside, with my hands. I've spent the last ten years in classrooms and the two before that running projects at a creative agency, and the parts I was best at were never behind a screen. They were on-site, with a crew, a customer, and a deadline, making something work.
At the agency I was the single point of contact on 50+ client projects. I scoped the job, set the timeline, pulled in designers, printers and install crews, and then showed up and led the install myself: large-format work for the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel and Temple, and the air stairs for the Pope's 2015 visit to Philadelphia, where there was exactly one chance to get it right. Owning a deployment from handoff to finish, clearing blockers, and adapting when the plan changes on the day is the job I already know how to do.
Teaching taught me the other half. For ten years I trained people who didn't ask to be trained: kids, new colleagues, and about 20–25 families a year, many across a language barrier, where the only training that works is practical, straightforward and useful. I onboarded a new teaching assistant into a running classroom, got an entire grade team to adopt a new workflow, and ran a project where my students grew microgreens from seed to a public showcase. I know how to read a room, earn trust quickly, and leave people confident enough to carry on without me.
I don't have ranching experience, and I won't pretend otherwise. What I bring is the willingness to learn it in the field, from the people who know it, and the patience to make the technology make sense to someone who'd rather be working than reading a manual. I live in Broomfield, twenty minutes from your office, and time on ranch is a draw for me, not a cost.
One more thing, since Halter started in New Zealand: ten years in international schools meant working alongside a lot of Kiwis, and I've come to appreciate the straight talk and the get-on-with-it approach that seems to come with them. If the role ever needs someone to spend time in Auckland or at the source of the product, I'd take that trip gladly. I'd be glad to show you what I mean in person.
Thank you for your consideration.

I spent two years running on-site installs and 50+ client projects for a creative agency in Philadelphia. Then I spent ten years teaching in international schools in Shenzhen, training kids, adults, colleagues and the families I worked with, many across a language barrier.
I've trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for more than ten years. I'm a brown belt, and I teach adults and kids. The mat taught me what it's like to be the beginner, and what a patient coach is worth.
I don't have ranching experience yet. I'd learn it in the field, from the people who know it.
I built this site with Claude as my coding tool. I set the goal and made the calls. The cattle, tower and props were made in Blender from Python code. Separate test runs tried to break every version, and the real bugs they found were fixed, including a blank screen for people who turn animations off and cows whose feet slid on the grass.

I built a list of Colorado cow-calf operations and ranked them for fit. It's being cleaned up after two rounds of QA.
The public version will be a small anonymized sample, grouped by county and herd-size band, with no ranch names. The full list is available on request.
